Myofascial Release Clinic, Moorgate, City of London.
Myo: Muscle / Fascia: The connective tissue around the body / Release: To let go, ease the pressure
A Myofascial release is a gentle, hands-on, body technique that works deeply into the body to relieve chronic pain, restore alignment and help with mobility to muscles joints.
Benefits Clients With:
- Chronic pain
- Old muscle injuries
- Postural pain
- Postural imbalance
- Headaches & Migraines
Myofascial works to relieve the connective tissue around the body. Slowly and gently it works to ‘melt’ and release tension in the tissue. Myofascial release takes the pressure off pain-sensitive areas such as nerves and blood vessels to restore mobility to the muscles.
The fascia (connective tissue) is a cling-film like substance that wraps around the body to support and reduce friction. The aim is to stretch and smooth the body so it works at the optimum level. Pressure and heat from the therapist’s hand help the fascia to release, gradually releasing restrictions on the muscles which makes pain starts to disappear.
How do I know that I need to see a Myofascial therapist?
If you are in pain, if you are struggling to sit properly at work or even if you are trying to improve your sport, myofascial release will lengthen your muscles to ensure they are working optimally without pain or risk of injury.
Our Myofascial Release Therapy Clinic is located on London Wall, and a 30 second walk from Moorgate Station or 5 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station and Bank Station.
