Physio: Nature / Therapy: To treat medically – To heal
Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.
Our physiotherapists use a range of treatments tailored to your individual needs. We use a combination of manual therapy (hands on) and rehabilitation (exercise and corrective movement) to ensure that we do not just mask your symptoms, but we actually CURE the cause of your symptoms too.
Some of the many treatments we provide may include: soft tissue therapies, rehabilitation, acupuncture, ergonomic (office/desk) assessment and set-up, gait analysis, heat treatments, performance and development optimisation, massage and stretching.
- Injury and re-injury prevention for non-athletes/professional athletes
- Injury diagnosis, management, treatment and rehabilitation
- Postural problems
- Work related pain and injury
- Pregnancy pain, injuries and preparation
- Children and adolescent pain and injury
- Chronic pain and injury
During your first Physiotherapy appointment, your Physiotherapist will cover a subjective assessment where you will chat about your presenting symptoms, and how they are effecting your life. A physical assessment will then take place which will further enable your Physiotherapist to identify the underlying cause of your pain, injury or limitation.
Once your diagnosis and prognosis has been discussed, your Physiotherapist will begin your treatment as we want you to get back to performing at your best as quickly as possible!
